Wir wollen ja ein synchronisches Wörterbuch. Was wortgeschichtlich eigentlich korrekt ist, ist zwar interessant ( もともとは「たわい無い」といい、主に「取るに足りない」といった意味の語) aber man darf die normative Lautung taai nicht deshalb unter den Tisch fallen lassen. Selbst wenn die Lautung taai und die Schreibung 他愛 historisch eigentlich "falsch" gewesen sein sollten, ändert nichts an dem Umstand, dass diese Form die historische Form tawai verdrängt hat und heute normativ kodifiziert scheint. Das muss man berücksichtigen. Volljaehrige duerfen immer zaubern, selbst wenn sie unreif sind!). Die betreffende Stelle heisst in der offiziellen Uebersetzung von Klaus Fritz "Und selbst minderjaehrige Zauberer duerfen in einem echten Notfall zaubern."
